Since its launch in 2015, the Travel Media Awards has seen seven glittering ceremonies celebrating excellence and achievement across all forms of travel media.

The winners of the 2022 Awards were announced during a live event held on 26 October at The Dorchester, attended by representatives of the UK’s top travel media. At the event, 22 publications, broadcasters, journalists and photographers were honoured with .

Among the winners were The Sunday Times,ÌýThe Metro,ÌýTTGÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýSuitcase Magazine. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Special Contribution Award to entrepreneur, travel writer and co-founder of Lonely Planet, Tony Wheeler. Previous recipients of the award, which recognises someone who’s made an extraordinary contribution to travel, include Simon Reeve, Michael Portillo, Rick Stein and Lisa Minot.
